Petrography and diagenesis
Including the use of optical microscopy techniques, SEM, XRD, CL and UV microscopy, and integration with advanced modelling techniques such as fluid inclusions, radiogenic and stable isotopes. The course focuses on the practical applications of the techniques reviewed and leaves the delegate aware of the methodology, sampling techniques, interpretation and financial implications of understanding diagenesis in reservoir rocks. Both clastic and carbonate versions of this course are available.
